Reflections of Love

Reflections of Love - Acrylic

Frank Baggett is a Tennessean born July 11, 1956, and has been a successful artist for over 30 years. His primary medium is acrylic, other mediums include oils, pastels, watercolors, colored pencil, pencil, and pen & ink. His work involves both a Modern Day Impressionistic style that is shown in many of his landscapes and wildlife paintings, and Realistic style that can be seen in many of his waterfowl works. His subjects include landscapes, wildlife, stilllife, and some portraits. Frank has many mentors which include Robert Wood, Paul Dougherty, Edgar Payne, as well as Winslow Homer. Using his Modern Day Impressionistic style, he has captured moments of nature and life on canvas... both from his personal experiences, and photography work done by his wife as well as himself. Frank is an active member of many Conservation groups, and has donated several works of art to Ducks Unlimited, and the National Wild Turkey Federation. As quoted from a New York art critic,"His life in the outdoors can be seen in his paintings with the unique "rugged" style he uses, and the brisk and quick brush strokes in his work". Frank will be displaying and selling his artwork at several of the Wildlife Festivals throughout the country, and was a judge in the 2010 Tennessee State Jr. Duck Stamp Competition. Unlike most artists, Frank prefers to sell original works. When asked the artist replied that he wants the best possible representation of his work hanging in the owner's home. Whenever exhibiting his work, the artist has ALL originals that are listed and not sold with him, and displayed as room allows. Original works can be purchased directly from the artist at any show, or simply click on the contact the artist about this work on the web site. All paintings are shipped directly to the buyer with insurance on the package equal to the original price of the work. Commissions are welcome and done in the order received. Contact the artist for more information about pricing, ordering, and shipping of work.
Frank has also has entered many of his works into various State Duck Stamp Competitions including the Federal Duck Stamp Competition. His painting titled: The Great Horned Owl has been published in the 2010 International Owl Society's magazine titled: Tyto
