There has been lots of activity with the Nashville Artist Guild, including a new web site www.nashvilleartistguild.org  and several upcoming gallery exhibits throughout Tennessee. I will have 2 works of art displayed at the Gordon Jewish Community Center Art Gallery during the month of March thru April. Also I have become a member of the Nashville Metro Arts Council and now have a better link to the Metro Area with this publicity. I have submitted an entry into the Wyoming State Duck Stamp Contest, and will be sending in my entry for the California State Duck Stamp Contest on March 1. Several new works have been posted on my web site, and many more on the drafting table in my studio. Painting on masonite panels has become easier after years of painting on stretched canvas.  Using panels has allowed me to apply much thicker sealers to many works, giving the super sheen look that really brings the colors out in acrylics. Also, framing is less tedious without the worry of stretcher bars, dimples in the canvas from other paintings touching, and using a smaller clip for supporting the panels in the frame.
I will be attending the 3 Rivers NWTF banquet this year, and will be donating a signed and numbered print to be live auctioned. The print is the first (#1) of the limited edition of 200 prints. I look forward to seeing all the folks that attend these banquets, and festivals throughout the year. I try to always have time to sit and chat with everyone, and answer any questions they may have about my artwork, to spin a yarn about a hunting or fishing trip, or give my opinion about life.
See you on the trail....
